The ester biodegradable film type EGCI is one side corona treated to offer imorived adhesion with inks and adhesives. This films shows 15.8% degradation in just 60 days time. It is tested as per ASTM D5526 method and shows 62.5% degradation in less than 7 months in landfill replicated testing.
This film is also tested as per ASTM D5511 (Standard Test Method for Determining Anaerobic Biodegradation of Plastic Materials under High-Solids Anaerobic-Digestion Conditions Considering Gas Evolution) for biodegradation & ASTM D5338 (Determining Aerobic Biodegradation of Plastic Materials Under Controlled Composting Conditions, Incorporating thermophilic Temperatures) for compostability.
