Estoplast
-XUrange
of high performance thermoplastic resins
are based on Polyamide-6 (Nylon-6)/Polyamide-66POLYAMIDE
- 6
SPECIAL
CHARACTERISTICS

ESTOPLAST-XU
grades have an ideal combination of properties
because of its crystalline structure and
very strong intermolecular forces due to
hydrogen bonding between adjacent-NH, groups.
Toughness

ESTOPLAST-XU
resins inherently possess excellent toughness
even at sub-zero temperature level. Toughness
increases with moisture absorption but decreases
with incorporation of glass fibre.
Tribological
Properties

Due
to smooth, tough, hard surface and superior
resistance to lubricants, fuels and solvents,
Estoplast-XU is ideal for sliding applications.
Thermal
Properties

ESTOPLAST-XU
resins retain their shape even just below
their melting point, and have a very low
thermal coefficient of linear expansion.
Glass reinforced Estoplast-XU grades show
excellent dimensional stability even at
high temperatures.
Chemical
Resistance

ESTOPLAST-XU
exhibits high resistance to engine oils,
gear oils, lubricants, hydraulic and radiator
fluids, refrigerants, paint solvents, cleaners,
aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and
most inorganic chemicals. ESTOPLAST-XU has
outstanding resistance to inorganic acids,
few oxidising agents and chlorinated hydrocarbons,
zinc chloride solutions etc.
Easy
Processability

Narrow
molecular weight distribution of ESTOPLAST-XU
ensures consistent moulding. Fast solidification
and easy mould release result in fast production
cycle. Heat and process stabilizers ensure
high melt stability which provide a broad
processing window for ESTOPLAST-XU.
